Summary: We had a great time staying here! The house was so lovely and we especially enjoyed the hot tub. Great yard area for my dog as well. The yard is not fenced and is right near a road so I would definitely suggest a longline/tie out line for your dogs. Everything was super clean, and we appreciated the high quality cookware/kitchen equipment. Great access for hiking/outdoor activities and a short drive into Lake Placid. Highly recommend!

Summary: Clean rental, easy process, and no extra surprise fees. They do require some work on the back end if you bring pets, but it’s certainly fair since there is no pet fee. Would recommend.

Summary: We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Mountain Chalet! Wilmington was a perfect location to explore from and it was close to both Lake Placid, Saranac Lake, and the drive up to Whitehead Mountain (it snowed while we were up there!). We also drove down to Fort Ticondaroga and would highly recommend that as a side trip if you have the time. The house was smallish but efficient, and was exactly as listed/pictured. The beds were comfy and we appreciated the little touches like hand soap, TP, paper towels, and small toiletries that were available as needed. The only thing we found missing in the kitchen was a cookie sheet for nachos. :-) We didn’t have a chance to use the hot tub, sauna, or fire pit during our stay, but our dog loved the large yard and we saw several deer one evening. Communication with Judi before, during, and after our stay was exemplary. We really appreciated that she checked in to make sure arrival went smoothly and that everything was ok. We also appreciated all the information sent before we arrived, including restaurant recommendations. Rudy’s Scar Bar was a surprise hit for us! We loved our time in the Lake Placid area and we would definitely stay at Mountain Chalet again when we return! Thanks to Judi and Aseem for sharing your lovely home with us!
